accepts

[əkˈsepts]
  • 接受( accept的第三人称单数 );领受;承担责任;承兑;

  • accept, believe
He accepted the explanation without question.
We no longer believed the lies spread by them.
  • accept, receive
Her husband did not accept〔receive〕 her story.
The theory was not received〔accepted〕 as truth by the broad masses of people.
    I've received an invitation but I don't think I'll accept.
Though he has received several offers, he can accept only one of them.
简而言之,“accept=receive+乐意地”。
I've received your invitation.
  • accept as, consider as
  • accept,receive,admit,take
