  • miss, lose, mislay
He fired two shots, both missed.
I didn't miss the key until I got home and found it wasn't in my bag.
I missed seeing the film when it was shown at school.
It seems that we have missed our chance.
Oh dear,I've mislaid my glasses again.
  • miss, fail
The squirrel was lucky that it missed being caught.
I have failed to catch the train.
  • lose,miss,misplace
  • madam,Mrs,lady,miss
